White-eyed Vireo |
This morning I dropped by Central Winds just for a little bit, hoping to find something good. I did find a Scarlet Tanager, but she refused to cooperate with my camera. But this White-eyed Vireo popped out into the open for a few seconds for a photo. I hear these guys a lot throughout the year, especially in scrub and sand-hill habitats, but not so much at Central Wins. During migration, however, we're hearing and seeing a lot of these birds. For some reason they don't mind being in the open as much here, so this is one of the cleanest backgrounds I have for this species.
