Eastern Wood-Pewees are wonderful little flycatchers. The first time I photographed of one in Florida it actually caught a little dragonfly for me. I believe all these photographs came from Mead Gardens, which has been the most reliable place for me to find them during their migration through Florida.
Pretty shots. I've never seen one hit an Eastern Pondhawk like this, but that further lends credibility as to how effective a hunter they are. Well done.

ReplyDeleteThanks. That's so great that you could identify the dragonfly.
