The Eastern Phoebe is our most common flycatcher during the fall and winter months. They are in nearly every park I visit, and I love to hear them calling in the parks. Many flycatchers can be very difficult to tell a part, but Eastern Phoebes are pretty easy to identify. They seemingly have large heads with a dark cap and mask, and an all-black bill.
They are beautiful birds that are fun to photograph!
