I first became interested in photographing birds when I was in living in the Baltimore area.  I met some friends at Hughes Hollow, part of the McKee-Beshers WMA [gallery] in Seneca, MD, right by the Potomac River off of River Rd [map].  I've been addicted ever since.  McKee-Beshers is a wildlife management area with woodlands, fields, and managed wetland impoundments.  I've spent all my time here in the wetlands area.

Over 200 species of songbirds have been seen here, attracting many wildlife photographers, and there's also a wonderful place nearby to photograph sunflowers, though I've never been there at the right time.  If you're interested in wildlife and flower photography, and you live in the Baltimore-Washington area, this is a great place to visit.  Here are some of my photographs. Please forgive them.  These really are my first attempts at bird photography, so I didn't know much about what I was doing.
