I also found my first Red-eyed Vireo of the year. Two of them were in the park singing up a storm. Often it takes me forever to locate these birds when I hear them, but these were actually pretty easy to find.

Swallow-Tailed Kite is a most excellent bird! These shots are great Scott! Thanks for sharing. That Warbling Vireo really looks like it's ready to graduate to Warbler.
ReplyDeleteExcellent, Scott, on all three. I heard two Red-eyed Vireos at Lake Lotus earlier in the spring and they too were singing non-stop but never showed their face to me. The species usually are high in the tree-tops. These photos are special--from my experience with this species, they are hard to photograph well. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteBest Kites' pics I have seen.
ReplyDeleteWow! Incredible Swallow-tailed Kite photographs, though they all are excellent! Beautiful work, as always!
ReplyDeleteLove those vireos!
ReplyDeleteAnd, the various species fledgling photos really show how undeveloped the tail feathers are.
Thanks for posting, Scott!
