Yesterday I found my first Sedge Wren, and while I was trying to photograph it, a very pretty Savannah Sparrow came out and posed for me. Savannah Sparrows are very common here in the winter time, but I never tire of them. They have many different looks, but one distinctive feature is the yellow "eyebrow" stripe above the eye. This sets them apart from most other sparrows. Since this beautiful bird gave me my best photos of the species, I figured I'd honor it by sharing the photos with you.
Pretty Bird. I'm always surprised by the beauty to be found in the little brown birds
