The Marbled Godwit is another fantastic shorebird. They are large shorebirds with long bills that curve slightly upwards. This past May, I saw a couple feeding at Merritt Island. They were so fun to watch that I stayed there for about 15 minutes watching them. I wanted to catch them in flight, but they never flew away. But here are some photos of them feeding.
Nice photos! Love the upturned bill and the two-toned beak. Did you have to get wet or sandy to get the shots?
ReplyDeleteThanks! And thankfully, no. I stayed on the road and then cropped my photos :-)
